Need to set the timing on my bugeye for the first time since I got the car. Two Questions: Anyone have an idea on how to easily get at the timing marks (my car has a hood that opens forward and pretty well covers up where the marks are)? When I disconnect the vacuum advance, do I plug the open hole in the distributor? Thanks Bob Irwin

-Hey Bob
coming from a LARGE family (Im the smallest at 5 11 220 I can tell
you that I really shuudered when you told this guy to use the
windsheild frame to help get in and out. Ive seen my family break

be held on to. SHHH no one tell my wife Im sharing this, but she is
as large as I (we are a sight together in the midget lol) But when
she first started getting in and out that was her favorite place to
grab. I "taught" her places to grab and not

Steve, I am based in Leeds and have recently just done a full clutch job and engine build. If I can help please contact me. Where did you get the job done and what did they say they have done. Sounds like they have put it all back together without any care as most symptoms sound like basic setting up ie unsealed exhaust connection, timing and possibly tappets.

Hi! I just bought a '63 midget yesterday(hopefully will take delivery
today or tomorrow!) and will see what it needs, and I am sure I will
be asking many questions from y'all, as I will be using it as my
daily transportation.
I am located in the San francisco Bay area. Are there a lot of places
around here for used parts? It doesn't have a top, door windows etc,
but they are not that important yet, what I need ASAP is a toneau
cover if anyone has a spare they would sell cheaply to a fellow
enthusiast to keep the inside from getting soaked.
