Got my Sprite back from the sandblaster and received replacement
floor pans this week. Toay, I spent what seemed like an eternity
drilling out spot weld points and there's no end in sight. How can
there be so many weld spots??? Plus, a big chunk of drill shaving
landed on my face, a very hot one, and got stuck between my face and
the glasses and gave me a good burn. Now my face is permanently
scarred... Urrrggghh... Anyway, right side is almost all drilled
but have question. How should I undo the welds between the floor and
the inner sill? If I drill it out, I can't weld there when I put the
new floor in. Remember, when you put a new piece on, that piece will
have an 1/8" hole where as the points you drilled out has a 1/4" and
if the inner sill has the 1/4" holes, you obviously can't weld from
inside the sill. Should I just saw off the floor from the inner
sill? Anybody want to come over and drill holes???
