Well, Chris...
Intelligent routing of "ventilation hoses"
(vertical travel) and/or a draught tube
run off a "catch can" makes "liquid pollution" a thing of the past in
any case.
I don't know what everbody else looks
for when they check their oil level at
least once a week but, I know what I
look for besides oil level. The
reek of gasoline is all pervading, believe
me! If you are not smelling this (it
pervades the atmosphere around and
within the car, especially on older vehicles
which is our subject) or noticing a definite
drop off in performance while driving with
the choke engaged on a hot engine leaving black clouds behind you, than
maybe such personage has a bit of a
problem and needs to be protected from
life in general.
I've never used anything but a manual
choke on any older engine and would seek a manual conversion kit even
for
a "modern" car. Never liked "auto"
anything when it comes to this type of
stuff including "auto" thermostadt switches
with electric cooling fans....don't trust 'em
unless there's a manual back-up.
Nothing "wrong" with a PCV system, I just
choose to run "ventilated" cause I'm
educated enough on the subject to do so
and know the "ups" and "down"s of each
way and thus, have made an educated
choice....for myself....NOT the "other guy", who should do whatever he
thinks
HE should do for whatever reasons he
cares to choose. :)
