Since this group has digressed once again away from spridget talk, let me throw the following into the mix. Somewhat akin to the general FLAVOR of this board as it has been with recent postings. Don't break out the guns again - only the messenger here.... On a flight from JFK to London... Upon serving the passengers their in-flight snacks, one attendant attempted with utmost professional delicacy to communicate with the least risk of embarrassment to the passenger that his pants were unzipped. "Sir, your garage door is open", she whispered. Several times during the flight she attempted to... MORE

Jorge Attached is photo of half of the flight of Hatton Locks. In the background you can just see the Church tower of St Mary's in my home town of Warwick. The rest of the site is about the area where I live. http://www.cv81pl.freeserve.co.uk/default.htm Also attached is a site about British Waterways , They own the canals on which the narrowboats run . It gives a good History of them. http://www.british-waterways.org/site/Home%255F1.asp And finally a site which hires out narrowboats on the Warwickshire ring. http://www.canalholidays.com/warwickring/ Should be enough information for you to get a good idea. Hi, Alan East-Jones: You asked whether Bob (affectionately) Tuck flew Spits out of Biggin Hill in '42? Yep....he did. He did his last sortie out of this field, wherein he shot down his last aircraft (officially, #30) prior to being shot down himself by ground fire and taken prisoner while on the same mission. Quite "the man" but then, weren't they all, branch of service notwithstanding. Serious times. I have much admiration and respect for this generation, especially the British who suffered through the bombing of their Homeland. Always have. Cap'n. Bob '60 :{) PilotRob@... 10629... MORE

For those of you who are into narrowboats as well as cars, this week-end. (May Bank Holiday) we should have quite a few of them in our village. The River Slea runs past the bottom of our garden, and just recently the water authorities have been allowing the water level to rise, which is usually an indication that they will be here!! Nothing to do in our village, unless you play golf or partake of a little alcohol!! Margaret =C5=BD South Lincolnshire (UK) mmbrock88@... 10584... MORE
