"Attention all Southern California Listers."
I have been talking about it for 6 months now, and it is time to put up
or shut up!!!!!! This is an invitation to anyone (in the world) who
would like to come to San Diego to have a beer and meet face to face for
some LBC stories. (If you are coming from some other part of the world,
you can stay with me, I can sleep up to 4 people, 8 if they are "good"
friends.) lolol
The big plan so far is to meet in San Diego on Friday evening August 1st
around 6:00 or 6:30 pm. I am on a quest to find a venue that we can sit
outside and have a beer (or three) and a burger or something, and be
able to see where we parked our cars so we can point and tell stories.
I haven't found the perfect place yet. The obvious ones will be packed
with people on a Fri. night. But I love a challenge and I will be pub
hopping all this week looking for the perfect place.
To all of the Orange county people who have e-mailed me off list, some
of the San Diego people have hesitated on looking for a place part way
to Orange County, like Oceanside, or Carlsbad, then drinking and having
to drive back to San Diego late at night. (Don't forget the Prince of
Darkness) So, I have decided to start small and have it in San Diego
for the first time and if there is enough interest from up north,
perhaps the next one will be during the day, up there somewhere. Who
knows.
So, this is the first notice, there will be two more, please e-mail me
on list or off list so I can start to get a feeling of how many people
will show up. I am looking for a low class, down and dirty (read cheep)
place but it might help if I can let them know how many people to
expect. Of course GF's, W's, or significant others are welcome. Please
drive your LBC if you want to, but the most important thing is to be
here and meet face to face some of the interesting people we have been
"playing with " on the List.
This is only two weeks away, so please RSVP. and clear your
calendars!!!!!!!
You might also let me know if you prefer Friday night or Sat or Sun
daytime. (for the future).
