Hi
You can do it yourself, but it can be a pretty tricky job to do.
First thing to watch out for is in the dismantling process, a lot of the brackets
that hold the windscreen together have seized screws, if you damage them,
or split the heads you've got a problem.
Assuming you successfully dismantle the frame assembly the resassembly
process is as follows -
1 Mount glass into new rubber beading surround.
2 Use vaseline or soap or washing up liquid to fit the glass and beading into
the frame and fit side pieces.
3 Get some rope and wrap it around the frame (top to bottom). Use a length of
wood to twist the rope tighter, as the rope tightens the frame pulls together.
4 Repeat process, lengthways this time to pull the sides in then secure the
brackets.
5 Fit lower seal.
6 Refit side channels with rivets, the side seals with vaseline slide into
position.
7 Refit finishers.
Thats it! a lot easier said than done though!
