I'd leave it neg earth, as that condition slightly
lessens body corrosion.
Basic chemistry says the opposite.. In fact its the reason car were positive earth in the first place. The advent of the transistor in geral automtive use promted the change to neg earth as apareantly it works better that way.. and more rapidly rotting cars of the early '70's
