Well 2-3k is definitely in the 'dodgy' middle-ground category, where you're

going to find the bodged and rusty ones for sure.
If thats your budget, you can find reasonable 'honest
no-too-messed-about-with' cars, but they will all probably need some work
doing to them.
Once again I will emphasise how important it is to choose wisely, 2-3k is a
=3D=0D
difficult price area to find a good one, lots of lemons about going for tha
=3D=0D
t kind
of money.
As I've said before, and having the benefit of hindsight, I'd push that 3k
=3D=0D
to 5k
and go for one like the one on ebay - all sorted, no work to do, ready to d
=3D=0D
rive,
will hold its value, good investment. and I'll guarantee you this, if you b
=3D=0D
uy a
car for 2-3k, I'll bet you'll end up spending 2k on it over a few years tha
=3D=0D
t'll
make that 5k ebay car seem like a bargain.
