I think you'll find the US also has a finite amount of space (unless they
grab other countries' when they run out!) but I know what you mean, as I
can almost fully open one Midget door in my garage.
Incidentally, when I was house hunting, I found the ideal house for any of
us - it was an ordinary semi, with a couple of bedrooms plus a six car
garage! The guy who built it had his priorities right ;-) Sadly, it was a
bit out of my price range.
