Ian,
As far as I am aware no Sprite or Midget was originally built with either an
overdrive unit or for that matter anything other than a 4 speed box.
However quite a few people have converted their cars to the Spit**** (we
don't like using words like these in polite company!) overdrive box, myself
included, or more numerously a five speed box from a suitable Ford or Toyota
rwd vehicle.
