We still build some cars in the USA, but I'm sad to say our
manufacturing is also being rapidly exported to China (and India).
I think your and our problems have mostly the same causes -
primarily incompetent and short-sighted management who stuffed their
and the union's pockets during the good times, and failed to see the
low labor threat, or to do anything about it. In addition our
politicians (yours too?) have shot us repeatedly in the foot, for
example granting most favored nation status to China. It is
disgusting. Our President George DumbYuh Bush cites the new jobs
which have been created here under his administration as if creating
a minimum wage job actually replaces a good paying manufacturing job.
ARRRRGGHHH! I'd best stop before I say something seditious.
DumbYuh's Homeland Security people are watching me...but not
potential terrorists.
