I totally agree, and do the same.
Whatever it is, concentration on driving takes priority. Suspend anything
else immediately whenever the need arises
I rarely listen to the radio as most stations involve talk and talking
distracts.
I do listen to tapes of well-loved music which is familiar and does not
distract.
I also like the sound of the A- series, but sometimes want both.
What detracts from listening in a Sprite is wind noise at anything like a
decent (or is that indecent) speed, not the tuneful sounds of a well revved
engine.
My thought that I am currently considering is a single in the ear unit like
a walkman or personal radio. That way, one ear listens to the engine note,
police sirens and all other ambient sounds, and the other ear listens to
music that rocks. Seems like a recipie for a happy traveller.
If I only used the car occasionally I doubt that I would bother, but this is
a genuine daily driver covering 10,000 miles plus per year so I think a bit
of music won't come amiss.
