Heh, heh!!!
That's exactly what I said...Never Again and I ain't never done it again
to this
day!! It IS a helluvalot of work!
This would not be the case for someone
like our Frank Clarici or maybe Chuck Christ.
Frank is a perfect example. The guy got
his first Sprite from his Dad when he was
a kid and has basically been working on them ever since. He's in his
forties today.
Hell, he's got 25 years of hands on experience with cars...specifically
with
spridgets. BUT.....
he's also a builder. I know guys in town
who are builders. The guy who's restaurant I used to have a share in is
a builder (and is today, as are his sons) and I hang with them all the
time.
Do you know how mechanically talented
these guys are? There is nothing that they
cannot do mechanically, and most especially with all their tools. Hell,
if they
haven't got the proper tool, they'll create
it!! And, it doesn't take them all year to do
it...they can do it right away....NOW...on
the spot!
Add to this a garage put together for this
stuff over a period of 20+ years!!
Is it any wonder Frank C. can build a
complete BE from basically a "tub" within
60 days?? Even considering the foregoing
I am blown away by this. I mean basically
from start to finish in 60 days!! Amazing!
But I know MY limitations. Like you, I ain't
ever gonna do a bare metal respray again
if I can possibly avoid it, for sure!! :):)
