Saying that cats have a right to live as much as the homeless in brazil is not saying cats are more important than the homeless in Brazil. It is simply a view point that all life is sacred, yours, the homeless in Brazil and cats. Your view point seems to come from a hierarchical view of life that one life form is of more value in some cosmic view of things. That would fall into the realm of a belief that humans are a superior species that have some greater value than other life forms. Some people view it as a matter of equal value not higher or lower. All to be respected, including your right to have a gun without being stereotyped as a violate person.
