I saw it and it doesn't make sense. Ed's ranting actually makes a bit more
sense, as the MGC/Austin 3 litre 'new C-Series' engine was supposedly a
replacement for the one fitted to Austin Westminsters and 6 cyl Big Healeys
so it follows that it would be the same colour.
But it still doesn't tell the whole story, as you'd have expected all
previous Spridget engines to be painted this same light metallic green/gray
instead of the plain darker green as used on Morris Minors etc;
alternatively why didn't they carry on with the original green? After all,
they were still coming out of the same Morris Engines plant. Ah, it all
became much simpler when they went to black!
