Sports Cars are particularly expensive as dealers go. I also had a browse a

I also don't think it is 'just' the 'rarity' factor, I could quote you many

cars that don't fetch lots of money, because people don't want them. It's t

'desirability' factor as well that effectively sets prices. Without wishing

quote basic economics at you, but it's supply and demand that set's prices,

the more people that want a particular model of car in short supply the
higher the price (eg Lotus Elan) the fewer the people that want a plentiful
=3D=0D
model of car the lower the price (eg MGB GT)
Lets face it, most of us are here because we enjoy, buying/restoring/
maintaining and driving the 'archetype' small, cheap, most-fun-for-the-buck
=3D=0D
,
little sports car and don't have massive amounts of cash to invest in our
hobby.
Personally speaking I like most old British Sports Cars and that certainly
=3D=0D
includes others from MG, Lotus, yes even the maligned Jensen Healey and
Triumph. For 9k you could get excellent examples of many of these classic
British Sports Cars. I'm not a 'marque' fanatic, and could quite easily see
=3D=0D
myself at some point in the future with a Triumph TR6 or Lotus Elan, althou
=3D=0D

not at the expense of the Midget I hasten to add!
So where does this leave us? oh yes back to where I started - 'percieved
value' I'm sure the Innocenti is worth the 9k they're asking for it (if som

willing to pay it) but for that kind of money I'll take a nice Triumph TR6
