there should be a stop pin (part number AHA 7703) that one of the mechanism
arms butts against; in addition, originally there was a sort of 'U' shaped
strip of steel (part number AHA 7431) that fit in the bottom of the door. I
think it had felt or foam stuck to it, so it could absorb moisture to
encourage rusting better!
