Good idea about the new bulb in the old socket. Instead of the sky blue in
side of case, you might consider spray glue and gluing in aluminum foil fro
m the kitchen, with the shiny side out and leave it a little crinkled so as
to disperse the light all around the inside more evenly. Might also be a
good idea to try different lights etc, before putting back in the car. Som
e of the high output LED bulbs are bright and draw almost no current. Coul
d group 2 or 4 or 8 together with a blob of silicone until the correct bril
liance is achieved on the bench before making a final configuration.
