there are 'L' shaped steel brackets in the corners of the windscreen, so
you are slightly less likely to mess up these tapped holes than if they
were in the aluminium. However, these brackets are themselves screwed to
tapped holes in the uprights, so if you do mess up the steel 'L's, you'll
probably still have to get the screws out of the aluminium parts to salvage
it all. It's all not too difficult even if you do end up drilling out the
screws.
