Ok...Nigel...your healthcare system is
as unbearable as ours is in many ways,
some similiar, some not. The malpractice
lawsuits for less than reasonable care
over here are piled to the ceiling and
abound to the extent Doctors are leaving
the profession considering ever rising mal-pratice insurance premiums.
We have millions of people in this country
that do not have health coverage...and
can't afford it.
I understand about space..but jobs are in
the populated areas. Most people we are
talking about don't go to the desert or
mountain towns for jobs for obvious
reasons. They flock to the cities or towns
where the jobs are. All that space isn't
doing us any good in THIS respect at this
point in time.
Nontheless.....
point taken in consideration of the
"overcrowding" in terms of limited
geographical space "over there".
But a list buddy suffered what might have
been a heart attack while out on his boat
last summer. Communication with proper
people was established and a helicopter
was despatched. Had him in the hospital
being attended to very rapidly. Lister makes a decent buck I'm sure but
the
family was not wealthy.
This service over here would have cost
the patient.....???? And millions have no
health insurance, or insurance LIMITED
to the extent they can pay the ever rising
premiums.
This is what was on my mind when I made my comment in terms of most
bang for the buck for the average
joe. I would say decent health insurance
for the average family of four over here,
which would include such a service would
be very expensive. 'Course I'm single but
if any of the married with kids guys wanna
speak up? And then, remember...these are limited policies as in partial
coverage
to one extent or another.
