Once upon a time, there was some benefit to being a club member, as various
suppliers would offer discounts to members, but that all seemed to go, in
the harsher commercial world of the 80s/90s.
It's a little known fact that you can actually be a member for nothing -
the subscription fee is actually only for the magazine - if you don't want
to receive it, you can still remain a member!
