Hi Ferris
Welcome to the group, there is a group called Bugeye on yahoo,
which caters just for Frogeyes, you my want to check that out.
I can't help you much with your questions but try this link below - I
have no experience of this guy - but he seems to know his way
round Frogeyes, he's in Hampshire I think, but don't quote me.

Regarding radios, there are companies that specialise in
'period' radio's, my be worth checking them out if you want to
keep it original - pick up a copy of Practical Classic's - many of
them advertise in there.
