Bob,
I would modify this just a bit...deport the
UN in it's entirety......to France, Russia and/or Germany. Either one of
them (or
all) deserve it a lot more than we do.
We haven't the brains or the
national cajones today, to take
care ourselves a la "Charity Begins
At Home".
We truly have been "dumbed down" the
last 40 years or so and far worse, we've
become "feminized" (overly sensitive and
"enabling") to those who are too uneducated to "appreciate". And so,
we've become the International whipping boy.
We obviously no longer know how to fight and win a war....which methinks
is why we are being attacked at this point
in time. It's no coincidence that certain
others feel the "time is right".
A little objectivity over the behaviour of the likes of the Bill Clinton
"types"
WE ELECTED to "lead us" says it all
to the "thinking" international community
as a whole. We look like a bunch of jerks
because we've become a bunch of jerks
and are no longer taken seriously, accordingly.

I have nothing against John Kerry and I'm
sure he's done good things but his record
in the Senate is abysmal not mention 3
purple hearts without a day in hospital???
One cannot help but think he's a case
of 10% truth amidst 90% BS. But I guess
this is all "they" had on hand when Dean
"freaked out". As for the Shrub, his tax cuts which mainly benefited the
rich and
the muddling through relatively tougher
economic times for most says it all, after
our corporate/government
give away a good part of our technology, industry/manufacturing, etc. to
others and
the slow disappearance of the good "middle class" paying positions they
offered to us common folk.
(Then we have the social responsibility of
our great corporate leaders as in Enron,
Worldcom, Tyco, etc. who fix the game to
the detriment of all concerned, right under
the nose of the SEC. Probably did more damage to us than "9/11" with
all the Clintonian con garbage thrown in
for good measure).
Our military is capable of winning...however, very few of our
leaders (and a good many of our
common folk) lack the "fibre" and "will". El
Sadr is an example of yet another US
"fubar". To me, it looks like we might very
well win the battle but lose the war, though I hope I'm wrong. In any
event, with good luck I'll be gone by the time
"The Fat Lady Sings" in this respect.
Jihad has no rules. There are no rules of
engagement. Anything goes in the
interests of winning. And WE just don't
get it!!! We have become complacent with
respect to our survival as a nation...a "way of life". We don't think we
can be
"taken down"...we do not think we can
"fall"......and we are wrong. History
proves it. There is still a need to fight
wars to survive but we have become
dumb and dis-interested in our own survival/well-being.
We are over-confident in our "safeness"
to the extent many of us will drive down a crowded highway holding a
cellphone to
our ear carrying on an "intelligent" conversation (oxymoron intended!!:)
'cause "it can't happen to us, only to the
other guy".
Ya' know, if I flew an airplane this way
(and to me this is as easy or easier, than
driving down the road and a helluvalot
less dangerous statistcally speaking), I'd
be "removed for cause" (and rightfully so)
in a heartbeat. But "adults" will drive down
the road with their families on board and a
cellphone to their ear.
As to our toughness and will to win
when faced with truly evil doings....
remember Kaiser Soiche (spelling) in
"The Usual Suspects" as to what
it takes to win when finding oneself in conflict with the relatively
more barbaric?
Well..."there you have it"!!
And from what I've seen thus far, we
no longer do. We haven't even come
up with legislation covering our "new"
POW's in our "modern war. It's been
almost 3 years since "9/11", and our
southern border remains a sieve, even
as our economy muddles along considering there already are too few jobs
for those already here, amid "free"
entitlements we offer to those who break
our immigration laws and are here illegally, notwithstanding. I mean,
are we
stupid or what?
I'm sorry, but we really have become
a$$holes in terms of our national ability
to take care of ourselves as a people,
nation and way of life that so many gave
their lives for previously to the extent I may enjoy my personal
"reality" today.
I mean it's like nobody ever heard of WW2
and those who would commit suicide to
beat you, and what it takes to beat them
BEFORE they beat you! Unbelievable!
