Hi Vigil,
The only 1275's with a potential problem with it in racing trim are the very first ones with the thin flange block. However, they're still pretty good but also pretty scarce! All the others that came in Spridgets are essentially the same. All the rear drive car engines are different than the mini ones.
I might know of a 1275 engine in the San Diego area and can check that out tomorrow.

There might be one out there hiding somewhere, but what's wrong with a used one? I'm pretty sure there are lots of used ones that can be brought up to new snuff, except for an oversize bore, with good machine shop work.
I did see a NOS EN40B crankshaft on EBay today, though. Might be gone as it had a buy it now of about $500.00
