Gerry, do you have access to a copy of Bill Price's "The BMC/BL
Competitions Department"? It has several contemporary photos of MKI MG
Midgets of the same period as your MKII Sprite, clearly showing no bumpers.
If you can't get hold of one, let me know and I'll scan the pics for you.
The Healeys tended to go in for long distance races rather than rallies,
with their works Sprites, so it isn't as easy to find photos of Sprites in
rally trim.
