You won't be able to remove old ones without destroying them!
Sticker sets are available for all years of Midget - sounds like you ordered / were sent the wrong one. Can you not simply change it for the correct set? Where did you get it from? Moss / MGOC and all the usual suppliers in UK should be able to help out.
