When I was young I would see old people's workbenches with the tools all hung neatly on pegboard, sometimes an outline of the tool also. Then I thought they were simply compulsive anal retentive. Now that I am 65 I know it is because if there is not a place for everything and you don't put everything back where it came from you will never find it when you need it. The other method is to make sure and clean the shop now and them to find all the things you couldn't find when you needed them. The problem with this is you put it where you will remember where it is then forget where that was. None of us like to admit our minds crash more often than our computers.
