I hope you all had a good English beer on your night out, What English
beers can you get in the 'states anyway?
Margaret from South Lincolnshire UK (not from Chicago but near to Boston
!!!!! )
would like a local get together - good idea - we should also do it in the
midlands, but the Warwickshire Mascot members already do that - see the mag.
Just to let you Americans know - The people from Lincolnshire are known as
the Poachers.
Texans, one of the greatest
Lance Armstrong SIX TOUR DE FRANCE WINS
The toughest human physical sporting event in the world
Did you see the stage in the mountains where after about six hours of hard
racing ,he was brought off his bike by a spectator, his greatest and closest
rival Jan Ullrich sportingly slowed the break away group and allowed Lance
to catch up. Then Lance attacked with Ullrich in tow, Lance nearly crashed
again when his foot came off the pedal, smacking his gonads on the frame.
Lance attacked again on a steep part of the mountain road and rode away from
Ullrich. Then Lance caught up with the lone rider that had been away in the
lead, on his own for over 100 miles and 3 mountains, said "well done" gave
him a pat on the back then left him, to win the stage alone.
For pure sportsmanship and human endeavour the race and this man in
particular are truly greats. Not like playing rounders or rugby with suits
of protective armour for 90 minutes or so.(flame suit on and running)
Any other Famous Texans?
Alan
