the jets wear first; because the needle is sliding up and down, all it's
wear is spread over it's length, but the jet wear is concentrated at the
top. The actual wear rate is minuscule - I don't know if they were the
originals, but I couldn't measure the wear on mine when I rebuilt them at
106,000 miles!
