I fitted the Frontline kit a year ago. It came with AVO adjustable
rate (10 clicks) dampers. I am pleased with the end result, but the
kit was not easy to fit. The upper end is fine, but on the bottom
end, there were several iterations of grinding/filing/fitting to get
the lower shock mountings to properly nest into the underside of the
A-arms.
It was a lot of detail work, with the risk of "screwing up" the A-
arm, thus requiring a new one, or a repair to fix what wasn't broke
in the first place. (I hate it when that happens.) It would have
even more difficult to do without removing the A-arms from the car.
Which I had done, since I was putting new bushings and everything
else in. Either there is some variability in Frontline's
fabrication, or variability in the factory stamping of the A-arms or
both, but the parts were not at all close to "bolt-on" as represented.
I'd say given the strong endorsement of rebuilt lever shocks by
others here, you'd be better off going that route.
