I think you would be better off simply buying a later model car. Why put al
l that money into a 62 that will no longer be a 62? The value of the 62 is
because it does not have later added on wind up windows and has a cleaner s
tyle. Do not know about Great Britain but here you can buy a running 62 Spr
ite/Midget for far less than what you would spend ending up with a car that
has no value as a collector car and is neither a 62 or a 67.
I say take that 2,400+ pounds and either buy another 62 that is in good con
dition or a later model Spridget in good condition . . . the only person wh
o will come out ahead as it is will be the restorer's bank account.
