Thanks for that explanation, it's kind of what I expected it to be, and as

say regarding the down sides, it's exactly why I don't like using them.
There's been very few nuts/bolts/screws I havent been able to remove using
=3D=0D
heat and brute strength, but I guess heat is not really an option on the
windscreen frame - further fuelling my concern.
Theres only been a couple that have beaten me and caused problems. The
first was on the long bolt on the axle casing that retains the rebound stra
=3D=0D
ps -
that one sheared off taking the end of the bolt with it! I pondered on the
=3D=0D
solution to that for a long time, the fact that those bolt/pins are NLA pro
=3D=0D

me to simply buy a bolt that was the correct size, grind it down as necessa
=3D=0D
ry
and weld it onto the end of the existing bolt. The other one was one of the
=3D=0D

bumper mount bolts where it bolts onto the end of the chassis rails - that
=3D=0D
one
sheared off as well, and chewed up enough HSS drill bits that I gave up try
=3D=0D
ing
to drill it out (it's a high tensile steel bolt) and simply bought a new th
=3D=0D
readed
tube, cut out the old one and welded in the new one.
I guess regarding the windscreen frame - if you mess up one of the threads
=3D=0D
you have to retap it to a larger size?
