A racing friend, sadly no longer with us, said that green was adopted as the
racing colour for Great Britain. But green was said to be an unlucky colour,
as it angered the Gods, (or the Demons!) so the paint manufacturers made their
greens so dark they were almost black, so as to fool them into thinking it was
black. The British got their green cars, and the Gods were no longer
angered!! So, basically, any shade of green is considered to be BRG. Personally, I
prefer the darkets of all of them: Jaguar British Racing Green.
