Roger...
I had the pleasure to visit the UK back
in the late '60's/early 70's so I am not
up to date on present "conditions".
Wife and I spent most of our time touring
Kent (met Bob Tuck on his farm!) and
enjoying London, Imperial War Museam
and various WW2 airports/towns I'd
read about as we came upon them.
Later on I flew as part of a crew on
weekly cargo trips into the Kent area
(Manston? I'd have to look it up...long
time ago).
The people really make a place more
than just a place. I loved it over there.
Got stuck in a lift once coming up from
the tube in rush hour while heading back
to rooms to our hotel (Hyde Park area). Trapped in there for 15 minutes
or so. Over here in such a situation, people would normally bitch and
gripe.
mostly.
Over there, they laughed and talk to one
another about all sorts of things and make the best of it! :):)
