Cap'n Bob and Robert,
Flew aboard whales (EA-3B Skywarrior) from various carriers,
primarily in the Med. As a CT augmentee out of Athens, Greece and
Rota, Spain, most of my flying dets were to the USS JFK. I have to be
honest and say that I was not at the controls as the pilot during
cats and traps, but I did drive once (with the pilot's concurrence as
sidesaddle) at a steady 35K feet. You don't want to know what my
primary function was aboard the aircraft. I'd have to shoot you.
Now back to the work of getting my midget interior in order. Right
now she's getting a complete makeover. BTW, the A-3 used to be the
largest "non-afterburning" carrier acft in the USN.
