I made the panel behind my console out of 3/4" plywood and 1/8" hardboard,
then cut a hole in the center of it to give me room for the wires coming ou
t
of the back of a cheap pioneer cd/stereo unit from WalMart. It looks fine
and was not much work at all. I do not know how it would work for a std
ribcase, but it works fine with the shifter location on my datsun 5speed.
