I run a beautiful (I think) set of American Racing wheels on my Midget. They are Chevy Vega hub pattern. I'm going to post pix of the car next week so you can see them if so inclined.
From what I've read and heard the biggest tire you can run on the Ro's is 170/70/13. I can tell you from personal experience that 5.5 inch rim and 165/70's will not fit without modifications.
