Early MG Metro engines were 10.5:1 (std 1275 Metros were 9.4 or 9.75:1) But
don't forget, overboring will increase this, everything else being equal.
Aside from that, I'd only reiterate what Cap'n Bob said, do your research
and decide what YOU want!
