So, Bob...
Tell me what you'd do if you just bought a $400 feeder calf with plans
of rasing it and making a living selling it on the market once fed
out. Then you come along and find two coyotes trying to drag it down
and kill it. You gonna stand back and admire the coyotes
and watch your livelyhood go down their gullet, or are you gonna out
the 270 mag and cap them?
Don't get the idea that I go out purposely to hunt down and kill
animals that I have no intention of eating. I have just as much
respect for nature as the next guy. Maybe even more since in rural
areas of the country we are much closer to it. What you can take to
the bank, though, is that I will not stand idle and watch nature ruin
me.
Bob, I grew up in New York. Trust me. There's a totally different
world out there if you go live a few years away from the right coast.
There are, in fact, good reasons to have to "thin" out certain species
that no longer have sufficient preditors to keep them in check.
Pidgeons are a prime example of that. Also, that's why there are
"Hunting Seasons" nearly everywhere.
Okay - I'll climb down from the podium now - For a good laugh, go to
http://www.gizoogle.com/
Do a search for "spridget" (or just about anything) and die laughing....
Cheers!!
Jim - Da spridget bro in Dodge City
P.S. 58F here yesterday - I had the Midget out and will run around in
it again today!!
