Hi
I am trying to learn more about my 79 midget. I have found a site that
tells what the numbers mean. The www site is

The # on the door post is GAN6UL222301 6 date is 6/79
This is how I read it
G = M.G. Abingdon (Plant)
A = 1500 engine
N = 2 seater tourer
6 = ? chart says 6=AH Sprite Mark II
U = USA-Canada
L = Left hand Drive
226301 = number of the car I beleave
Then there is a space and then a 6
I am wondering what both 6s stand for the one after the n and the one
at the end.
The number across the front cowel in front of the radator is GU47T930592P
I seem to remember way seeing some where that I could send the numbers
and get a history from them for a small fee. If any one could help me
with any of this it would be great. Cant wait for warm days to go for
a nice long ride.
