Been looking at the 1500 shell, and I now remember why wor stalled on it about 10 years ago!
the rear arches are shot, and to add to this the boot floor where it meets the inner arch under teh 'chasis' rail that runs round the inner rear arch has evapoarated , the chrassis section is fine, but the floor part of it is just not there.
To add to this the small pices atht sits beween the boot floor at the back and the rea sectio of the rear wing has rotted away toatlly, there just is nothing left of it.. I seem tore remember pulling a very surreal section of rust from both sides when the car was stripped down, the boot floor upto the joit where this peice is attached is still there.
I have the lower wing repair sections, but these are for a chrome bumpred car although I don't think modifying them for the 1500 shell should be too hard.
Now I am wondering how to attack this area, should I rebuild the inner sections and then put the outer bit on? or should I rebuild the inner arch and then put the outer on and then fit the bit between the boot floor and the outer wing?
One last question, can I fit 1275 springs all round to a 1500 o return it to the correct ride height?
