It's extremely difficult to tell from those pictures the age or model, as by the
looks of it, as you said, it has a mixture of parts from Sprites and Midgets on it,
and you can't be sure what was original on that car. You have to make certain
assumptions, and as this list has ably demonstrated in the past, assumptions
are dangerous.
It has a Sprite badge on the back, a Midget Grille on the front and Austin
Healey Hub caps. If the boot handle is correct, this dates it to after October
1961 when it changed.
It has wind up windows and newer style door handles which dates it to 1964
and on (Sprite MkIII, Midget MkII).
The hooked type quarterlight handle was changed at HAN9-75703 (July 1968)
So that dates it between 1964-1968.
The window winder type was fitted up to HAN9 -72040 (Nov 1967)
So that dates it between 1964-1967.
The early facelift 1275 cars came in, in October 1966.
If the seats are to be believed this would put it prior to the facelift cars.
So the best guess I can make is that its an Austin Healey Sprite dated
somwhere between 1964 and 1966.
By far the most accurate way of dating this car is to let us have the VIN plate
number, we could accurately date it then and tell whether its a MG or AH.
