A feeler gauge won't do for this operation. If you can get a feeler
gauge in, you clearance is probably double what you are
reading. There are pressures you need to simulate and feeler
gauge won't do. You can buy the tools I suggested from Harbor
Freight for about $30. Get a dial caliper while you are at it. About
another $20.
This may require more than a kiss...'-)
