Since you don't say anything about flex lines, I'm gonna say that
the culprit, What you describe is usually caused by swelling
flexible rubber hoses, It can prevent fluid return to the master
cylinder. I thunk silicone fluid in old lines can exacerbat the
problem too. It will also swell certain types of rubber, so it may
be incompatible with your seals in the MC.
