You should be able to kill the motor by lowering the idle screws that hold
the throttle plates open. The throttle plates are before the pistons and the
only way the pistons will rise is if the throttle plates are open so springs
won't do anything for idle - find out why - it is something basic. The
throttle plates should close tight enough to hold liquid.
