Only you can really answer this question as you're the one with all the
information. Are you moving here permanently or temporarily? And if the
latter for how long? Is this is financial decision or an emotional one? Do you
have anywhere you can store your car in the US while you're here?
I think if you're going to be moving here permanently I'd bring it over with
you. If for a temporary time period, I'd leave it in the US.
Theres two factors here you should consider.
Firstly, English roads are not like American ones, and I'm going to assume
you'd be avoiding Motorways, because in a 1098 you'll struggle to keep up
with the traffic and you'll find that there's a lot more traffic on our roads than
in the US. If you're going to be using mainly non-Motorway roads, then you'll
find on the whole theyre narrower, twistier and more congested than in the
US, so the best possible driving position is paramount - I'm not sure I'd want
to be driving on them in a left hand drive car (for safety reasons) - even
though there are left hand drive cars on our roads.
Secondly, our weather is a lot wetter than California and unless you'll be
keeping the Midget garaged and only used in sunny weather (which rather
defeats the object of bringing it over) you'll have to use it in the rain which we
all know is the fast route to corrosion.
Couple of points for you to think about.
