Cost, Rdgard??? Certainly, you jest. How about "ZIP"...nothing!!
Though it could have been $30.00.
They tell you when you sign up that cancellation instructions are given
in their
initial email which contains the link that
enables you to watch the 42 minute movie
clip. Now, remember, you only have 30
"free" minutes after you initially sign up
and they send you their initial responding
email.
Now, no one is going to mind a $30 charge for watching Paris in a
"quality"
movie clip of Paris in action. I mean she's
gorgeous and $30 is reasonable for 42
minutes of "quality" Paris!! :)
But, suppose it's not a
"quality" clip. Maybe it's a sub-standard,
hardly viewable, lousy quality clip.
Now, that you don't wanna pay for.
So, seeing as the clip was 42 minutes
and I had only 30 minutes of "free" time,
and their initial email did NOT contain
cancellation instructions (so if it was a
lousy quality clip you could quickly cancel
before your 30 minute "free" time expired)
I immediately, upon reciept of their initial
mail containing the "Paris" link, sent them
a responding email ordering them to cancel my account within 29 minutes
of
activation. This way I could see the quality
of the clip without getting charged.
Now the clip can take time to load if the
website is pretty busy....so you have to keep this in mind. Now if the
clip comes
on within my 30 free minutes and I see it's
good quality, then fine. If they shut me
off in 29 minutes per my request, also
fine. I just sign back up and knowing the
clip is of good quality, don't mind a charge
for watching the 42 minute clip. I'll cancel
my account afterward to avoid further charges downline in time and
that's that.
Now I have a printer handy so I copied
all mails back and forth to this firm. It's
all a matter of record. When the film strip
didn't come up and they charged me 25
minutes after they activated me, they
violated their own rules. And I am on
record with my cancellation request prior
to running out of the 30 "free time" period
anyway, along with the fact they again violated their own terms by
failing to
provide cancellation information in their
initial email providing the link enabling me to view the Paris, after I
signed up.
So, I called the credit car issuer and
explained the situation. They already
had the charge "pending". It has been
"blocked", my complaint has been officially taken, the card has been
cancelled and a new card with new
account number is "in the mail".
In a few days I shall recieve proper paperwork from the card issuer and
shall confirm my complaint against
the firm, providing copies of all supporting
email proving I have been abused, taken
advantage of and sorely mistreated!! :)
Were it not for Mike Jackson and Kobe,
I'd file a civil suit and get Mark as my
attorney. The case would be worth billions
and billions. Afteward I would write a book
and do the tour circuit, after appearing
on Bill O'Reilly fighting for "Cyberjustice".
Now...if I could just find a way to view
the "Paris" film clip, things would be
perfect! Life is so unfair! :)
