Thanks for the comments Dave. My own car is a '66 midget Mk2. It came with a red interior, and the cowl was also red. The following all refer to the midget Mk numbers. The Mk1 had body coloured turrets. The Mk2 had carpet coloured turrets. I had a friend with a Tartan red that had a red turret and another with a blue midget with a blue turret (as per the original Mk2 brochure in my possession) On the Mk3 the turrets were red for a time when a red interior was fitted, as another club friend of mine had an old English white Mk3 with red interior and red turret. I think that Black became the only interior colour shortly thereafter, hence all turrets also became black. I am now sorting through photo's to see if I can find evidence of this last change.
