I'm guessing without checking,
Is this switch a mechanical one?
Minis had pressure switch mounted in a tee piece (or possibly a 4 way
connector ) in the hydraulic line before it was ( or just where it was) teed
off to the rear brakes.
It was fitted under the bonnet and easy to get at - only downer was if it
needed replacing you had to bleed the brakes. Could be a simple mod ( Period
though not original) that could be put to use in the midget. I never heard
of one going wrong and almost bulletproof.
