Steve, DO NOT USE COPPER PIPE FOR YOUR BRAKE LINES.
Copper "work hardens" under vibration, becomes brittle, and breaks. This happens particularly at the point where the pipe exits the tube nuts. It will not happen overnight, but it will happen.
In the last month I have had to replace pipes in three cars that suddenly lost all brake pressure. All three had fractured copper brake pipes.
Steel pipe is a bitch to bend, but it will last your lifetime (and maybe extend it).
